Our league schedule for the 2022 season has been fully released and includes some mouthwatering matchups. To get prepared, the club has already picked its roster (and started announcing it on social media, in case you've missed it) and arranged some preseason scrimmages starting as soon as next week.
In a departure from last season, all clubs will face off twice this season: once at home and once away. There is no championship game this season but rather 12 total matches. Whoever earns the most points throughout the season wins. Simple, easy, effective. View our full schedule here and the league's schedule here.
Our title defense formally begins on hostile ground in Barron as we take on Barron Soccer Team. That match is scheduled for Sunday, May 15 with kickoff at 6:00 PM, and the venue is Birch Street Soccer Fields. We eventually play host to Barron on Saturday, July 9 at 4:00 PM.
We return home to Bollinger Fields the following week to square off with Lobos FC, an affair that will certainly have some of last season's storylines surrounding it. That match is slated for a 4:30 PM. We later travel to Merrill on Sunday, July 10 to play on the hottest turf field imaginable at Merrill High School. Kickoff is set for 3:30 PM. Bring your sunscreen, folks!
Our first match with new intercity rivals Union Eau Claire FC, a club featuring many of our old players, is set for Sunday, June 19, at 6:00 PM. It's technically an away match, but their ground (Eau Claire Soccer Park) is all of one football field away from our own. The return fixture is set for Sunday, July 31 at 2:00 PM. For those keeping track at home, that's the last match of the season.
There are two iterations of the Connect Four Derby in 2022! Last year's runners-up, Hayward Wolfpack FC, host us on Saturday, June 25 at Hayward High School. We host them during the second last match of the season at 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 24.
As for Poskin Jets FC and Spartan FC, we host both clubs first in consecutive weekends - Sunday, June 5 and Sunday, June 12 respectively. Both matches are scheduled for 6:00 PM. The away fixtures are set for the same July weekend. We travel to Barron to face PJFC on Saturday, July 16 (6:00 PM kickoff) and we'll be in La Crosse at the Fields For Kids Complex the following day (2:00 PM kickoff) match with Spartan FC.
